I do hope this isn`t the end. I think that International Feel did inspire a lot of people to go and do their own thing, and to go and do their own thing properly, and as a consequence, the “scene” is a healthier place. When it used to be nothing but edits and bootlegs around here, now there are a growing number of “boutique” labels releasing high quality pressings of either new music or legitimate, licensed, re-issues, usually both, and usually accompanied by carefully considered and executed artwork.

I also think that International Feel did fall foul of that most English of phenomenon: as soon as someone achieves a modicum of success they are deemed no longer relevant, no longer hip, and derided as the “last” big thing. Any potential "backlash" may not have been helped by “The Parada 88 Experiment”. Personally, the well-primed release of only 30 copies worldwide made me check myself. "I can`t have everything, perhaps I don`t need everything." Complete-ism impossible, unless you are Max Essa, Balearic Mike or one of the other 28, I no longer bought every release on International Feel. I no longer buy every release on any label. My "hobby" has moved a little closer towards “healthy”. I know Mark has strong opinions on consumerism and materialism, and maybe this was the desired outcome. Maybe International Feel was one big experiment, an attempt to hold up a mirror and help us regain some sanity. If so, thank you. And thank you for the music.
