Rausch Turning TP477

Mix

Words by Apiento 5 Jan 2019

Rausch Turning are Tris and Louis. We, as ever, asked them for some words on the mix and what it's all about and here's what they said...

"Here’s a mix of some tracks we’ve been into for a while, some we’ve been playing out over the years, and a couple of newer bits. We have kept it loosely regional to North Africa / the Middle East with a few exceptions. When we first started doing nights six or so years ago, in an old fire station on the Old Kent Road (which seemed to become known as The Red Door) we were excited to play a mixture of stuff inspired by old Baldelli / Loda mixes as well as things from Test Pressing’s Producer Series (especially the dubby UK side of things like Adrain Sherwood, Jah Wobble, Dennis Bovell etc). Amongst tracks poached from there we always seemed to be finding Algerian Rai tracks or Middle Eastern bits which we’d slot into sets, so this is a sort of a condensed version of that."

Basically, exactly the sort of thing we like. Enjoy.
