Milan-based duo Eternal Love first came on this listener's radar with a top selection for BSR in the waning days of 2021 lockdown. Playful, tropical, dreamy, heavy on the bass. Yearning for the sun. Beginning with a chiller from Dazion, through through to a midtempo banger collab with Barbara Boeing. It all still sounds fabulous.

2022 delivered the Altar EP on Mike Who's Planet Trip. So much brilliant music is emerging these days and from all corners, and it's easy, fun, (and ethical!) to go on a Bandcamp digi-spree but this is one that I had to cop on physical. I don't think it's left my bag since. Float away...

Now the guys join Dazion with a nice EP on Music from Memory's Second Circle imprint, which is having a bit of a moment right now. "Luna Manga" kicks things off with a sweet uptempo Italo vibe with a great vocal. "Echo Danza" has a wonky paradisiacal midtempo groove, really cosmic. "Nakarap" is more cosmic percussive business, just the sort of thing you could mix into a wrong-speed TwoTone instrumental. We close out with a live version of "Nakarap"--a beguiling bit of afro-squelch, and Masalo's take on "Luna Manga," a dreamy arpeggiated trancer that will sweeten any evening this year.

Ritmomento EP is available from Music from Memory 06 February 2026
