This one dropped late last last year, but it didn't pass us by. Second one from the BPT crew (after a sweet debut release from Cal-C last June). Ryan Spencer is based in Detroit and judging from his Insta plays all kind of top parties. He is also half of Symptoms of Love who did that super nice balearic EP for Planet Trip back in 2020.

I've had the pleasure to play a this EP out a few times and it slays every time. Spacey pads, sexy vocals, gurgling acid, raw drum machine...what's not to like, really? Pick your pleasure on mixes of the title cut - the Acid mix does what it says on the tin.

The B-side is slower and sleazier, featuring collabs with Benedek on all three cuts and adding Steven Grady and Noah Triplett on the closer. "Low Cost Leisure" keeps up with the acid lines, with a vocal that sounds like that guy we all know relating an acid trip over a bad phone connection. "Driving Drowsy" (don't - ed.) is blissed out lusciousness with just enough weirdness to keep things interesting. Paradisiacal sexy sax closer "Love Dub" has that Sade "Mermaid" vibe but wonkier, with dial tones and vocals pinging off a gentle tide of drum machine and swirling pads. Lovely stuff all around.
