This EP feels like a shimmering nod to the Cosmic disco forebearers of the fruit of Northern Italy’s freaked-out, fantastical club creations. A nod to the past while staying in the present. This isn’t a throwback record; it’s touching on some niche cosmic territory, looking in the rearview mirror, watching Baldelli waving goodbye as you drive into the sunset.

Like with the cut “ 88 Light,” a psychedelic phantasy, a ride into ecstasy… And that’s just how we finish this EP. These three tracks all hit on their own sweet spot, have a similar palette, but each go home and sleep in their own beds, in their own houses after their own workday. They are more than acquaintances; they are friends, and you can hear it.

Masters of the earworm. Those tight grooves or ripping synth lines that bring you into the sonic world they’re creating. This EP has a specific cosmic leaning focus. It’s like taking a handful of mushrooms in the forest and accidentally summoning some tree spirits. When you look up and all of a sudden you realize you’re fucking tripping balls and lost, but you can do this. You can make it home. I believe in you; life is a choose-your-own-adventure.

Enter Forest Nymph number one; so here’s the deal, your fucking tripping everything pulses and dances in well-formed fractals, well-programmed drums, little earworms swirling. Little arpeggios fly around you like the fractals of your mind. You summon the snake of bass who leads you through this forest. Your path is long, but you come prepared with some good ol’ positivity, because in your heart, there are melodies and rippy synth lines to keep you floating. A little gnome gives you a thumbs up as you walk by, “Hey, little guy”. You think maybe it’s a good thing there are only three tracks on this EP, for some reason; however, I think not. I think this trip could last longer.

Let us welcome Forrest Nymph number 2. This nymph has you in the meadow of midtempo. You are surrounded by trees. You lie in the extra green grass to take a break and watch that little bassline chug away. The stars are swirling. This is phase 2. Let’s get up, says your trip advisor nymph. You walk through the meadow, and shooting stars made out of little keyboard runs and delay. You walk at a tempered speed and yet somehow are still floating through space. Don’t get sidetracked, mate. Remember you’re here for the journey. The drums are driving and motorik, and you, my friend, are at the edge of the meadow.

Enter Forrest Nymph number 3. It’s here that you can feel the dirge of readiness. You may not know it, but this is your last stretch of Forrest. It’s darker than before. Many more animals are in this jungle. We’re listening and transfixed. We’re still high as a kite, but we’ve come to realize that the beauty we hold is in ourselves, and anything in the world of these Forrest nymphs is possible. Dream it, and it becomes real. And water drops of drums synthlines worm in and out of the dark Forrest like beautiful colors, and then it happens. You see the light. Your nymphs from this journey hail you to the exit, calling in such a beautiful voice, singing to you as you walk slowly and securely, listening to this wonder. Where have I been? Where am I going? You ask yourself. Surely the nymphs will miss you as you part this wondrous world of sound and color.

Thankfully, you can take this journey with you and share it with others.
